Doc`s Snack Shop in Jekyll Island

Good spot for a low cost lunch . Hotdog covered in slaw , pickle , chips , drink for $6.00 . Only negative thing was both days we were walking the historic district a sign was posted in window showing " back in 15 min " waited for 45 min before re-opening . Next day sign says " open at 11 " it was noon , so no lunch here this day .

Fast, friendly service. Crowded and noisy. Everyone's food was good, except the rock shrimp, which were flavorless.

High prices and food not that great. $8 for a 12 once can of bud light seems ridiculous.

Stopped here for much one day. I ordered a chili dog and a sweet tea. The chili dog was great and so was the sweet tea!

Food was pretty good but only one person working on a Friday afternoon made the wait a little ridiculous. Grilled cheese sandwiches aren't on the menu anymore as well. If 2 people are working, it's great for a simple meal on the island.

Do not, I repeat do not order the cheese burgers. I think my high schools burgers were better!

Doc’s has $3 domestic beers at the time of this review! Perfect place to sit on the porch, take in the splendid view, slam hot dogs, and get hammered on cheep beer. 5/5 stars, I’m all about it! ‘MERICA!!! 🇺🇸

True southern sweet tea. Load of pickles as a side. Savory cheeze dog. 2 piece meal a lot. Overall awesome. Air conditioned bathroom!!!

Great hot dogs!! a little pricey but delicious easy and quick! The ONLY place on the island for hot dogs that I know of! Great place for all ages!

The burgers were soooo good! You could tell they were made fresh to order from real beef, not just frozen patties. Service was amazing as well. The cashier was very sweet and personable.

Slaw dog was good. Chicken salad was a little salty

Chicken salad sandwich was to die for and if you like SWEET tea, this is your place. It was a little too sweet for my tastes. Husband enjoyed the sausage dog

Had a chili dog made with cheese whiz. Not really great food. Why others rate this as a 5 is beyond me.

the BEST chicken salad sandwich you’ll ever find, is here at Docs! Also the HUGE quarter pound hot dog is perfect for not only summer time but I can tell you that it’ll be perfect all year long. And $1 water bottles! Can’t beat that! Also you can’t beat that $3 ICE COLD beer either! Great prices to feed your whole family compared to anything else on the island.

Not as good as in years past, but still a great place to get a hot dog or brat while in the historic district.

Great little shop, free WiFi and best placed bathrooms in the island.

Dock's is a small place and doesn't need a long review to inform you that their sweet tea is the best on Jekyll Island and they provide free refills if you ask. If you are looking for some protein and salt to go with that sweet tea, they boil up some good peanuts. The nearby Market also sells boiled peanuts but those are from a can. Dock's are not from a can, I asked, and they are pretty good for $3 bucks.

They have the best hot dogs on Jekyll Island that I've ever had! The Yuengling beer is super cold! Doc's is a must!

1st time in the historic district and we gave it a try. I ordered the pulled pork and a very hot guy took the order and then made an amazing meal. Definitely coming back very yummy, and the food was good too :)

Closed at 12:45pm on a Monday. Ice cream lady and museum said they should be open.
